Christian Dior created in 1947 a New Look that revolutionized the fashion world. This New Look consited of the 'Bar' jacket, which fit at the waist, and a long skirt (until the ankles). 

Now the Parisian brand wants to pay tribute to that era with the New Lock bag collection. 

En 1947 Christian Dior creó un Nuevo Look que revolucionó el mundo de la moda. Este Nuevo Look consistía en la chaqueta 'Bar', que era entallada a la cintura, y falda larga hasta los tobillos.

Ahora la marca parisina quiere rendirle tributo a aquel momento con la colección de bolsos New Lock.


The bags have a new lock and the colour palette goes from light colours (beige, grey and white), lavender, and dark tones.

To launch this collection, Christian Dior has created a series of short films, directed by Peter Lindbergh and Darius Khondji, and starred by the actress Nora Arnezeder.

Burberry new collection / Nueva colección de Burberry

As Lorena from Le Petit Trianon blog already mentioned in her post, the military is in fashion. So the new Burberry collection has a clear military influence. It's mainly based on the trenchcoat (that was first created to keep the military warm) because Christopher Bailey, Creative Manager from Burberry, wants to bring back its iconic piece.

The colours for this collection are navy, dark grey and green, nude, khaki and the materials range from waterproof wools, which don't let a drop of rain in, to silk dresses.

Así, la nueva colección de Burberry tiene claras influencias militares. Se basa principalmente en la trenchcoat (que fue diseñada para proteger a los militares del frío), y es que Christopher Bailey, Director Creativo de Burberry, quiere recuperar su icónica prenda.

Los colores para esta colección son el navy, gris y verde oscuro, nude, caqui y los materiales van desde las lanas impermeables, realmente efectivas contra la lluvia, hasta los vestidos de seda.
