HOW TO DRESS TO ATTEND SUMMER FESTIVALS

As you may know Coachella's festival was held some days ago in Los Angeles.

Many celebrities gather together year after year there to have fun. I really like to see the looks chosen by them for these fun days.

The Coachella festival made me think of the festivals that will be celebrated this summer in too many cities.

The style that prevails the most in this type of festivals is the ethnic, boho chic or folk (I don't really know how to call it). I really like this trend and I can tell you that is going to be a kick this summer, yeahhhh!

Como seguramente ya sabréis, el festival Coachella tuvo lugar hace unos días en Los Ángeles.

Muchísimas celebrities se reúnen allí año tras año para divertirse y a mí me encanta ver los looks que escogen para esos días de juerga.

Coachella me hizo pensar en los festivales que se van a celebrar este verano en muchas ciudades.

El estilo que predomina en este tipo de festivales es el estilo que está tanto de moda esta primavera (y que va a seguir en verano) y que a mí me encanta. Es una mezcla de ethnic, boho, folk o como lo queráis llamar.

FRINGES / FLECOS

Fringes are one of the main features that make of an ethnic outfit. Wear them on the bags, boots or even on the clothes.

As in summer is too hot, you should protect the skin of your face from the sun. So I would suggest you to wear a kind of cowboy hat or a sun hat.

Durante el día, en estos festivales hace mucho calor así que lo mejor es protegerse la piel de la cara con un sombrero tipo cowboy o una pamela.

FLORAL CROWNS / CORONA DE FLORES

PAISLEY PRINT / ESTAMPADO PAISLEY

Although at first this print was definitively not for me, now I can say that I like it. Paisley tops, skirts or dresses are ideal for a gipsy outfit (I just found another way to name this trend!).

PAISLEY DRESS BY MANGO

Some time ago I purchased this paisley dress by Mango that belongs to the spring summer collection '14. 

As these Easter holidays were very sunny (at least in the north of Spain where I spent a few days), I could finally wear it. 

I decided to pair the dress with a kind of cowboy brown boots and a brown belt.
 
Hace ya algún tiempo que me compré este vestido de paisley de Mango de la colección primavera verano '14. Sin embargo, no lo he podido estrenar hasta estas vacaciones de Semana Santa que ya, por fin, ha hecho tiempo de verano (al menos en Galicia donde pasé unos días). 


El vestido es un tanto informal y, por los tonos tierra que tiene, decidí combinarlo con unas botas marrones tipo cowboy y un cinturón también marrón.

BEAUTY TIPS: LAB COSMÉTICOS ESPECÍFICOS

Some days ago I had the opportunity to discover a new cosmetics Spanish brand that cares for your skin. It's about Lab Cosméticos Específicos.

I've had the opportunity to try two creams that they work very well for me:

Hoy os quiero hablar de una nueva marca de cosméticos española que he tenido el gusto de conocer recientemente. Se trata de Lab Cosméticos Específicos.

A continuación os detallo las dos cremas que he probado y que me están dando muy buenos resultados:

The first one is called Expression Serum. It's perfect to drain bags and dark circles, which is one of my daily fights ;)

The texture of the serum is so light that it smooths and moisturizes the area easily.

It works as a corrective treatment because it removes residual liquid around the eyes.

I can say that I really like how this serum works for me. It leaves the skin around my eyes very soft and moisturized. The skin remains rested and bright.

It costs approx. 50 Eur but it's worth it. It lasts approx. 4 months because with a small amount of the serum per application is enough!

La primera de ellas es Expression Serum. Este serum actúa como drenante en las bolsas y ojeras, que es una de mis luchas diarias ;)

La textura del serum es tan ligera que se absorbe rápidamente y suaviza e hidrata la zona.

Funciona como un tratamiento corrector porque elimina los líquidos residuales del contorno de ojos.

Desde mi experiencia, puedo decir que me gusta mucho los resultados que estoy obteniendo con este serum. Noto que el contorno de ojos está muy suave e hidratado, de manera que no se me crean tantas ojeras. La piel se ve más descansada e iluminada.

Su precio es de aprox. 50 Eur, pero vale la pena!! Como sólo hay que utilizar una pequeña cantidad por aplicación, el bote tiene una duración de aprox. 4 meses.

The second cream that I've tried is the Expression Cream. It's a cream that works as a draining treatment, so it is anti-dark circles and anti-bags. It has to be used after the Expression Serum.

It contains aloe vera, among others botanical ingredients, to sooth, regenerate and soft the skin.

I really like it! I love its texture and how easily is absorbed by the skin.

After using it for a while (always after the Expression Serum) I notice that my circles under the eyes are less dark and the skin of that area remains smooth and sooth.

It costs approx. 48 Eur.

Also, both cremas can be applied at the corner of the mouth for anti-age.

La segunda crema que estoy probando es Expression Cream. Es una crema con efecto drenaje que trata las ojeras y las bolsas. Se debe utilizar después del Expression Serum.

La crema contiene aloe vera, entre otros ingredientes naturales, para suavizar, regenerar y alisar la piel.

¡A mí me encanta esta crema! Me encanta su textura ligera y cómo se absorbe rápidamente.

Después de estar utilizándola durante unas semanas (siempre después de aplicarme el Expression Serum), noto que las ojeras no están tan marcadas y, sobre todo, que la piel del contorno de ojos está suave y lisa.

Su precio es de aprox. 48 Eur.

Además, ambas cremas se pueden utilizar también en la comisura de los labios para prevenir las arrugas de esa zona.

Besides, it's worth saying that Lab Cosméticos Específicos doesn't use parabens nor perfumes and doesn't test on animals.

HOW TO PAIR BLACK LACE DRESSES IN SPRING

Some days ago I posted this picture on Instagram (@fashionvictimsbcn). I'm wearing a black lace dress paired with a synthetic fur coat. This is the outfit that I chose for a dinner on a Saturday night.

Hace unos días colgué esta foto en Instagram (@fashionvictimsbcn), en la cual llevo un vestido de encaje negro que acompaño solamente con un abrigo de pelo sintético. Es el outfit que escogí para una cena un sábado por la noche.

 

My wardrobe is full of lace garments since I really like them. To me lace is very feminime and sexy. 

 

But I have a problem with black lace dresses because I only wear them at night and I'd like to wear them during the day, too.

 

It's true that this past winter the combo lace dress (especially those lace dresses from Zara) and knit jersey (or jacket) was a hit. We could see many fashion bloggers wearing the same combo.  

 

El encaje está muy presente en mi armario porque me encanta. Me parece muy femenino y sexy.

 

El inconveniente que le veo a los vestidos de encaje negros es que sólo me los pongo por la noche porque por el día me parecen algo extremados.

 

Es cierto que este invierno la combinación vestido de encaje en color oscuro (sobre todos los de Zara) con jersey de lana (o chaqueta) ha sido todo un éxito. Hemos podido ver mil looks de bloggers con la misma mezcla.

However knit is not viable in spring (at least in Barcelona). So I've thinking how to pair my lace dresses to be able to wear them during the day in spring and I've come to the conclusion that they would pair with a military jacket.

 

And as if by coincidence, I've come up with these two inspiring looks:

 

Pero el jersey de lana para la primavera ya no es viable. Así, que he estado pensando cómo combinar mis vestidos de encaje para poder ponérmelos también de día y una de las combinaciones que me ha parecido más acertada es con una chaqueta militar (aprovechando que lo militar va a seguir de moda esta primavera).

I have a military jacket that I bought last year. And I can still remember that once I paired it with a white dress.

Tengo una chaqueta militar del año pasado. Y todavía me acuerdo de cuando la combiné con un vestido blanco. Me encanta cómo queda con vestido para restarle formalidad al look.

So I think I've found the perfect combo for this spring: black lace dress and military jacket, don't you think so?

Por tanto, creo que voy a poder darle más uso a mis vestidos de encaje esta primavera. Tened en cuenta que el encaje va a seguir muy de moda esta temporada y combinado con algo militar es todo un acierto, ¿no creéis?

THE BODY SHOP: BEAUTY LINE

Today I want to show you some of the beauty products from The Body Shop that I'm using these days.

 

Hoy os quiero enseñar algunos productos de maquillaje de The Body Shop que estoy utilizando estos días.

As I have blue eyes, I usually use eye shadows in blue and purple shades.

These days I'm using this carton with 4 purple shades (Price 24 Eur) that is perfect to achieve a smoky eyes effect. The carton contains some instructions for this purpose. It's really easy and the result is awsome!

Como tengo los ojos azules, me gusta destacarlos con sombras en tonos azules o morados.

 

Estos días estoy apostando por este estuche en tonos morados (precio 24 Eur). Además, soy súper fan de los smoky eyes, y precisamente este estuche lleva las 4 sombras que necesito para conseguir ese efecto ahumado. El estuche viene en una caja de cartón donde te indican paso a paso cómo maquillarte los ojos para conseguir este efecto. ¡Es facilísimo y el resultado me encanta!

The eyeliner (Price 9 Eur)intensifies the smoky eyes. It's purple and I really like it.

El perfilador de ojos (precio 9 Eur) intensifica el ahumado de los ojos. Es de color morado y me gusta muchísimo cómo queda en el párpado. 

 

I like to put lipstick on my lips everyday. My favourite shades are reds, browns, and maroons, depending on the day or my clothes.

 

As you can see in the picture below, the lipstick that I'm using the most these days is the one on the left, which has a brown shade.

 

These lipsticks (Price 13 Eur) moisturise the lips very much and so are very easy to apply. 

 





Para los labios, suelo apostar por tonos rojos, marrones o granates, dependiendo del día o de la ropa que lleve.

De los tres que os muestro, está claro que el que más utilizo es el marrón porque me lo pongo a diario para ir al trabajo.

Me gustan mucho estas barras (precio 13 Eur) porque son muy hidratantes y muy fáciles de aplicar.

To provide illumination and shine to the skin I use some powder that is perfect for all skin types.

Para aportar brillo a la piel, me aplico unos polvos que son perfectos para todos los tonos de piel con esta brocha tan suave.

The powder (Price 19 Eur) is made of small golden and pink spheres that give light to the cheeks and neck. I really like using this powder for a final touch.

 

Los polvos (precio 19 Eur) son unas esferas doradas y rosadas que brillan, y aportan luz a las mejillas y el escote. Me gusta mucho utilizarlo como toque final. 

 

 

 

The kabuki brush (Price 19 Eur) is made of synthetic fur and is very soft. It allows to apply the powder in a regular way. The cut of the brush allows to cover and define in an easy way. I love it!!

 

La brocha biselada kabuki (precio 19 Eur) es de pelo sintético ultra suave y se utiliza para aplicar los polvos de forma regular. El corte de la brocha permite cubrir y perfilar con facilidad. ¡¡La verdad es que es una gozada!!
