HOW TO WEAR THIGH HIGH BOOTS

The kind of boots that are taking all my attention this season are thigh high boots or also known as over the knee boots.

As I showed you on my Facebook page, where I usually upload what celebrities are wearing, Miranda Kerr likes wearing these types of boots. 

Si hay unas botas que están captando toda mi atención esta temporada son las thigh high boots o más comúnmennte conocidas como botas altas por encima de la rodilla. 

Uno de los primeros looks que vi con este tipo de botas fue éste de Miranda Kerr que ya os mostré en la página de Facebook de Fashion Victims Bcn donde suelo colgar looks de las celebrities.

This look is perfect and I'm completely in love with those suede boots. They are from Balmain, one of my favourite designers. They cost 1.500 Eur!!

Y es que el look es impecable. Y las botas no me pueden gustar más. Son de Balmain, cómo no, uno de mis diseñadores favoritos. Su precio: 1.500 Eur!!

I really like these thigh high boots. As I have thin legs I love the kind of boots that fit my legs. 

Me encantan porque son ajustadas a la pierna. Como yo soy de pierna fina, me gustan que las botas queden bien ajustaditas y no me hagan bolsas. Por tanto, si sois de pierna delgadita como yo, este tipo de botas son las que mejor os van.

As you can see from the pics, these boots are ideal to pair with jeggins, dresses or skirts.

Como veis, las botas son perfectas para llevar con jeggins, vestidos o falditas. 

ATTENTION: LOW COST VERSION

A low cost version of these boots are those from Marypaz, which have a cost of 49,99 Eur.

Una opción low cost de estas botas son las de Marypaz que no están nada mal. Tienen un tacón de 9 cm. Su precio es de 49,99 Eur.

But, be careful, and choose well the garments that will make up your outfit with the boots, otherwise the complete outfit might look a bit tasteless. This is the case of Miley Cyrus. I like the boots she wears but not the rest of garments.

Pero, ojo, para llevar este tipo de botas es preciso llevar un look adecuado. Cuidado con no ir demasiado informal porque puede llegar a verse vulgar, como es el caso de Miley Cyrus que, aunque las botas que lleva me gustan, el resto del outfit no me encaja (a no ser que queráis llamar la atención como ella). 

 

The boots are also available in other colours as the ones that Miroslava Duma wore during the New York Fashion Week last winter.

También están disponibles en otros colores como las que lució Miroslava Duma en la New York Fashion Week del invierno pasado. 

But she's not the one who likes wearing these boots in gray. 

Pero ella no es la única a la que le gusta llevar las botas en gris. 

 

 

And, if you don't like those tight boots, then another option is to wear them a bit loose.

Y, si no os gustan que las botas os vayan tan ajustadas, también las hay que quedan más sueltas.

GIVENCHY BOOTS

I must admit that the first time I saw these boots I didn't like them. So if this is your first time, I'm afraid that you won't like them either.

Debo reconocer que la primera vez que vi estas botas no me gustaron nada de nada. Así que, si es vuestra primera vez, me temo que tampoco os gustarán.



It's about the model Shark Lock by Givenchy and they cost approx. 1.400 Eur. The truth is that after seeing them in several blogs, I've changed my mind and now I must admit that I really like them. Below I show you some looks with them.

Son el modelo Shark Lock de Givenchy y tienen un coste de aprox. 1.400 Eur. La verdad es que, después de estar viéndolas por varios blogs, he cambiado de idea y ahora debo reconocer que me gustan. Os voy a enseñar algunos looks con ellas porque igual puestas os gustan más.

Unfortunately I cannot afford them, so I've been looking for a clone. The truth is that the two clones that I've found are not very correct and they don't really convince me.

Como no me las puedo permitir, he estado buscando un clon. La verdad es que los dos únicos clones que he encontrado no son muy acertados y no me convencen, pero es lo único que hay.

Both are from Zara and have the same price (89,95 Eur). But they're not very similar to the original ones so I think I'll keep on dreaming about a more similar clone... 

Las dos botas son de Zara y tienen el mismo precio (89,95 Eur). Pero no son muy similares a las originales, así que creo que tendré que seguir soñando con un clon más parecido...

Musketeer boots / Mosqueteras

I love musketer boots (over-knee boots), although I have never worn them.

They came into fashion with Julia Roberts in the film Pretty Woman and now lots of celebrities are wearing them again.
