IT'S ALL ABOUT JEWELLERY

As you may know gypsy style is really trendy this season.

One of the keys of this style consists of wearing maxi necklaces, bracelets or several silver rings (ruby, turquoise).

Como ya sabréis el estilo gypsy está muy de moda esta temporada.

Una de las claves de este estilo es llevar maxi collares, brazaletes o varios anillos en plata y/o con piedras (rubí, turquesa).

The idea is to wear silver maxi necklaces. And if they have coins hanging, even better.

Los maxi collares en plata, si llevan colgando monedas, pues mejor.

FRINGE JACKET: YES OR NO?

You may know that fringes are one of the main trends this season, not only for accessories but also for garments.

So many fashion brands have launched their own fringe jacket.

Ya sabemos que los flecos es una de las tendencias estrella de esta temporada. Y no es apta sólo para complementos, sino también para las prendas de ropa.

Así, varias firmas de moda han lanzado su propia chaqueta de flecos.

The star of the blog Always judging wears a fringe jacket that I really love. It's by The Reformation and it costs 498 USD.

La protagonista del blog Always judging luce una chaqueta de flechos que me encanta. Es de The Reformation y cuesta 498 USD.

The girl of the above picture is Sara from Collage Vintage. The black fringe jacket that she's wearing is from Mango. It costs 129,99 Eur.

La chica de la foto de arriba es Sara de Collage Vintage. La chaqueta negra de flecos que lleva es de Mango. Su precio es de 129,99 Eur.

In Zara we can find a flinge leather jacket, which costs 99,95 Eur.

I'm not sure whether it's worth investing in a fringe jacket. I think that it might be a passing fad so I'm not going to follow this fashion trend. What about you? Fringe jacket... yes or no?

Sinceramente, no sé si vale la pena invertir en una chaqueta de flecos. Creo que será una moda pasajera, así que yo no voy a caer en esta moda. ¿Y vosotras? Chaqueta de flecos... ¿sí o no?

HOW TO WEAR A SHIRT DRESS

Some days ago I saw some pictures of Leandra Medine from Man Repeller that called my attention.

The truth is that this girl, apart from being so cheerful and funny, has a very odd style that I really like. She dares to pair garments with different prints and the result is just awesome.

So, as I was telling you, the other day I saw some pictures of Leandra wearing a white shirt dress with the sleeves up, a pair of nice high heel sandals and a golden necklace. The result... perfect!!

Judge for yourselves:

Hace unos días vi unas imágenes de Leandra Medine de Man Repeller que me llamaron mucho la atención. La verdad es que esta chica, aparte de ser muy divertida, tiene un estilo muy peculiar porque se atreve a combinar prendas de estampados totalmente diferentes. Pero, claro, ella se lo puede permitir porque tiene esa gracia para lucir esos outfits tan fuera de lo común.

A lo que iba, las imágenes mostraban a Leandra luciendo un vestido camisero blanco con las mangas remangadas. Se calzó unas sandalias con taconazo y un collar en dorado. El resultado... perfecto!! Juzgad vosotras mismas:

I'm not sure whether I would dare to wear this garment or not. Probably I would wear a pair of shorts under the shirt dress. But the truth is that I love how she wears it.

She's not the only one who wears this piece:

Yo no sé si me atrevería a llevar esta prenda por la calle. Seguramente me pondría unos shorts debajo para ir más cómoda. Pero la verdad es que me encanta cómo lo lleva ella.

En Pull&Bear hay un vestido camisero vaquero por 29,99 Eur (aunque, a juzgar por las fotos de la web, no me acaba de gustar).

The designer Alexander Wang has launched his own version of the shirt dress. It's about a set of a blue masculine shirt with the cuffs and neck in white and a pair of shorts that match with the shirt.  

Por su parte, Alexander Wang ha hecho su propia versión del vestido camisero. Se trata básicamente de una camisa masculina en azul con los puños y el cuello de color blanco. Pero la gracia es que la camisa lleva a juego unos shorts de tela del mismo color de la camisa.

STRIPES & LEOPARD PRINT: A COMBO THAT IS STILL KICKING

As the title of this post says, stripes and the leopard print is a combo that is still kicking.

 

The truth is that the trend of pairing this 2 different prints started some years ago. I thought that it would be just a passing fad, but I was wrong...

Como digo en el título de este post, la combinación rayas y el estampado leopardo sigue pegando fuerte.

Lo cierto es que esta tendencia de combinar estos 2 estampados tan dispares comenzó hace ya varios años. Yo pensé que sería una moda pasajera, pero no.

The trend, however, has evolved somehow. In my opinion for the better and I'm going to explain to you why.

When this trend boomed, people dared to pair a leopard print blouse with a stripes skirt or vice versa. Although this combo was trendy, for me it was  too much (I prefer to créate simple outfits).

However, now it's common to pair, for example, a navy stripes tee with a pair of leopard print shoes or a leopard bag. I mean, the combo is subtle and, honestly, I prefer it like that. Besides, I have different navy tees that I wear often, especially when summer arrives.

Let's have a look at some insteresting outfits to get some inspiration:

Es cierto que la tendencia ha evolucionado de alguna manera, para mí a mejor, y os explico por qué.

Antes, cuando empezó el boom de combinar estos 2 estampados, las chicas se atrevían a mezclar una blusa de estampado leopardo con una falda de rayas o viceversa. Por muy de moda que estuviera, a mí esa mezcla me parecía too much (yo soy más bien de looks simples sin recargarlos demasiado).

Sin embargo, ahora las mezclas de ambos estampados son mucho más sutiles. Normalmente, se combina una camiseta de rayas con un zapato o bolso de estampado leopardo. Y la verdad es que el resultado es mucho mejor. De hecho, yo utilizo esta combinación a menudo porque me gusta. Además, tengo varias camisetas de rayas que utilizo mucho, sobre todo, de cara al verano.
