IT'S ALL ABOUT JEWELLERY

As you may know gypsy style is really trendy this season.

One of the keys of this style consists of wearing maxi necklaces, bracelets or several silver rings (ruby, turquoise).

Como ya sabréis el estilo gypsy está muy de moda esta temporada.

Una de las claves de este estilo es llevar maxi collares, brazaletes o varios anillos en plata y/o con piedras (rubí, turquesa).

The idea is to wear silver maxi necklaces. And if they have coins hanging, even better.

Los maxi collares en plata, si llevan colgando monedas, pues mejor.

A VERY SPECIAL BRACELET

Some days ago I received a lovely present from Aztekkita. 

It's about a bracelet, inspired by the Mexican aztec culture. Its particularity is that it has a calendar, made of silver 950, 100% mexican, which is the most emblematic symbol of the brand.

Hace unos días recibí un regalo muy especial de Aztekkita. 

Se trata de una pulsera, inspirada en la cultura azteca de México, cuya particularidad es que lleva un calendario, hecho de plata 950, 100% mexicana, que es el símbolo más emblemático de la firma.      


 
The truth is that I didn't know the designs by Aztekkita but I'm really impressed after seeing their facebook page and Etsy page.

La verdad es que yo no conocía los diseños de Aztekkita y, tras entrar en su facebook y en su página Etsy, he quedado impresionada por su trabajo. 

Besides, all the products made by Aztekkita contain a short explanation of their history and importance within the aztec culture.

Además,un detalle que me ha llamado muchísimo la atención es que cada producto va acompañado por una explicación de la historia del mismo y de su importancia dentro de la cultura azteca.

IT'S ALL ABOUT RINGS

Recently I've been paying attention to this type of rings.



Llevo ya tiempo fijándome en este tipo de anillos.

 

 

The truth is that I like them most in gold than in silver. They pair very well with fine rings as Jules usually wears. 

 



La verdad es que me gustan más en dorado que en plata. Y, si los combinamos con anillos finos, como los lleva Julie, todavía me gustan más.

CERVERA BARCELONA

Some days ago Cervera Barcelona, the well-known jewellery brand, got in contact with some bloggers to invite us to see their jewellery workshop placed in Barcelona.

 

There we had the pleasure to meet the founder of the company, Xavier Cervera, an approachable, nice and fun guy whose passion is the creation and design of exclusive jewels. 



 

Hace unos días, la firma de joyas Cervera Barcelona se puso en contacto con varias bloggers para invitarnos a su atelier situado en la zona alta de Barcelona.

 

Allí tuvimos el placer de conocer al creador y fundador de la firma, Xavier Cervera, una persona muy cercana, amable y divertida, cuya pasión es la creación y el diseño de joyas exclusivas.

 

 

After a short talk with Xavier, we started the route through the workshop. He told us about the different steps that involve the process and elaboration of a piece of jewelry.

 

Después de una charla de presentación con Xavier, comenzamos la ruta por el taller de trabajo en donde nos explicaron cada uno de los pasos que conlleva el proceso y la elaboración de una joya, desde su diseño hasta que está lista para ser enviada al cliente.

 

 

After this elaboration process, the result are these amazing jewels:

Después de todo este proceso de elaboración, el resultado son piezas tan espectaculares como las que os muestro a continuación:

 

 

One of the collections that impressed me most was that one called Corazones Locos (Crazy Hearts). It's a collection of bracelets and necklaces with different messages to show our love in an original way to those special people in our lives. It's like a game! Undoubtedly it's the perfect present for Christmas.

 

Una de las colecciones que más me llamó la atención fue la llamada Corazones Locos. Se trata de una colección de pulseras y collares con diferentes mensajes para mostrar nuestro amor de una forma original a esas personas especiales en nuestra vida. ¡Es como un juego! Sin duda, es un regalo perfecto para estas Navidades.

 

Finally we had the chance to create our own piece of jewellery. We could create our wristband by choosing the colour of the band and the gemstones (pearl, onyx gemstone, etc.).

 

Por último, nos dieron la oportunidad de confeccionar nuestra propia 'joya'. Se trataba de elegir el color del cordón y la piedra (perla, piedra ónix, etc.) que queríamos que tuviera nuestra propia pulsera.

 



 

This is the combination that I chose. A few days ago I received the wristband at home with a precious packaging. I really love it!

 

Ésta es la combinación que yo elegí. La pulsera me llegó hace unos días a casa en un packaging precioso. ¡No puede gustarme más mi pulsera de Cervera Barcelona!

 

 

Finally I just would like to thank all Cervera Barcelona team for their kindness during the event. We had a really time there and learned a lot about the design and creation of pieces of jewellery.

 

Por último, tan sólo me gustaría agradecerle a todo el equipo de Cervera Barcelona por su amabilidad durante el evento. La verdad es que nos lo pasamos muy bien y aprendimos muchísimo sobre el diseño y creación de joyas.
