HIGH-WAISTED PANTS

If some days ago I posted about the perfect pants for this summer, those called culottes (Did you miss my post? Don't miss it because is full of plenty amazing looks. Click here to see it!), today I post about a kind of pants which are in fashion this season. 

Si hace unos días os hablaba de los pantalones ideales para el verano, los culottes (¿Cómo? ¿Te perdiste el post? Aayy, con la de looks sorprendentes que podías encontrar... Don't worry, lo tienes de nuevo aquí), hoy os hablo de otra clase de pantalones que se están poniendo muy de moda esta temporada.

These are high-waisted pants. My admirable Bárbara Martelo (click here to see more looks of her) is an unconditional of them. And no wonder because they fit her perfectly. She has such a great body!

Se trata de los pantalones de tiro alto. Y mi admirable Bárbara Martelo (de quien podéis ver más looks aquí) es una incondicional de ellos. Y no me extraña, porque le quedan fenomenal. Menudo tipazo!!

She is able to create a great outfit with a pair of jeans, a shirt and a pair of pumps. What a style!

Y es que ella es capaz de ir estupenda con unos jeans, una camisa y unos stilettos. Puro estilazo!!

Or just replacing the shirt by a basic tee.

O cambiando la camisa por una camiseta negra básica...

However Bárbara Martelo is not the only one who is a fan of this new trend.

More and more girls are following this trend. I think I'll buy a pair of high-waisted jeans as well.

CULOTTES: THE NEW TRENDY TROUSERS

It's obvious that in summer we tend to wear shorts and skirts most of the days. However if you prefer to wear pants or if you just can't go to the office wearing shorts, then you will love this post. 

This season the most trendy pants are culottes.

Está claro que en el verano apetece ir más con shorts y falditas. Pero si eres más de pantalones o te pasa como a mí, que no puedes llevar shorts al trabajo, entonces esta temporada estás de suerte porque hay unos pantalones que son perfectos para ti.

Se trata de los culottes. Y es que, aparte de ser súper fresquitos y tener una pinta de ser comodísimos, están muy de moda.

FLORAL PANTS

Floral print is not one of my favourite one as I don't tend to wear colorful garments.

 

As you may remember, floral print was in fashion last summer especially with regard to pants. However I didn't buy a pair of floral print pants.

 

The floral trend is going to be in fashion this spring also, although it has lost a bit of strength compared to last year.

 

I think that floral pants are a bit tricky to wear, but if we match them well the result of the look can be awesome. 



Las flores nunca han sido mi estampado favorito para ningún tipo de prenda. Me cuesta ver tanto colorido en la ropa.

 

Como recordaréis el estampado floral se puso muy de moda el año pasado, sobre todo, en pantalones, pero yo no sucumbí a esa tendencia.

 

Para la primavera 2013, el estampado floral va a seguir vigente, aunque con menos fuerza que el año pasado. 

 

Creo que los pantalones con estampado floral son arriesgados pero, si se combinan adecuadamente, pueden quedar de maravilla.

Printed pants are one of the trends for this new season. We can see wide leg printed pants (as if they were pyjamas) or skinny printed pants. Which type do you prefer?

Los pantalones estampados son una de las tendencias para la primavera. Podemos verlos de pata ancha (como si fuesen pijamas) o más estrechos de pierna. ¿Cuáles os gustan más?

Pants, the trend in 2010 / Shorts, la tendencia de 2010

Many recent fashion trends have given the popularity of the likes of lingerie as outerwear.

Muchas tendencias recientes han dado popularidad a llevar la lencería por fuera.

Trends point out the hem lines of the hot pants continually to become shorter and shorter and at this rate I think that we all will have to spend a lot of time in the gym if we want to follow this trend. 

Las tendencias marcan que los dobladillos de los mini shorts sean cada vez más cortos y, a este paso, creo que vamos a tener que pasar muchas horas en el gimnasio si queremos seguir esta tendencia. 

There are 2 styles for hot pants. One is mid-cut hot pants and starts juts below the belly button. The other one is high waisted hot pants, which I guess will be the strongest look for this trend in 2010.

Hay 2 estilos para los mini shorts. Uno es el llamado mini short de medio corte que empieza justo debajo del ombligo y el otro es el que se conoce como mini short cintura alta, que será la tendencia más fuerte en este 2010.

For those who like the vintage revival, you should try with a pair of high-waisted hot pants. When wearing them, you could look to the classic pin-up girls for inspiration.

Para aquéllas a las que os guste lo vintage, deberías haceros con unos mini shorts de cintura alta. A la hora de lucirlos, podéis inspiraros en las clásicas chicas pin-up.

My recommendation is to wear the hot pants always with heels. They come in different colours and patterns so use them not only in black. You can combine them with a top of other fabric. There are a lot of possibilities.

Recomiendo llevar los mini shorts siempre con tacones. Vienen en diferentes colores y estampados, no sólo en negro. Los puedes combinar con un top de otro tejido, pues todo está permitido. Hay muchísimas posibilidades.

If hot pants are definitively not for you, then you can consider boy shorts as an alternative. Think of short shorts, just not in denim and without the rips.

Si los mini shorts no son para ti, entonces puedes considerar los shorts como alternativa. Piensa en shorts cortos, no sólo en denim y sin los cortes y los rasgones.

Finally another option are the body suits, which I like a lot. I remember some years ago a performance of Paulina Rubio wearing a body suit and she was actually awesome.

Finalmente otra opción son los bodies, que me gustan mucho. Recuerdo una actuación de Paulina Rubio de hace varios años luciendo un body y estaba realmente increíble.
